Endowment-Style Investing
Our Investment Philosophy
Our focus is on a predictable result for our clients. Our clients tend to be conservative, and we tend to utilize conservative strategies. We rely on our clearly defined, endowment-style investment process that is based on financial theory and industry best practices, informed by both quantitative and qualitative factors. We believe in diversification and asset allocation, and we employ a Nobel Prize-winning approach called Modern Portfolio Theory that has been designed to help to optimize portfolio performance over time. We also may allocate a certain percentage of your investable assets to investments outside the stock market, for purposes of risk management and potentially enhanced returns.
Research
On the surface, successful investing seems simple: You buy low and sell high, diversify your assets among different classes, and look for asset classes that will outperform others. But while it seems simple, it is not easy.
Our clients know their portfolios have been specifically designed to help them withstand day-to-day and year-to-year market fluctuations. We use investment management strategies that have been extensively researched and designed for bull and bear markets. We personally conduct this intense research and due diligence by going to visit face-to-face with financial institutions across the country, gathering information on the investments we use in our client portfolios, including:
- Investment Methodology
- Alternative Investments
- Underlying Strategies
- Performance And Fee Structures
- Thought Leadership
- Asset Allocation Strategies
- In-Depth Market Perspectives
